Now that the holidays are coming to a close, it's time to move on the important topic of vacation! Those of us who live in the north (and or work in retail or service) are due for a break after bringing happy holidays to the rest of the world. My one horse open sleigh is a Volkswagon Golf covered with snow and salt; "oh what fun" is not the phrase I would use to describe my commute.
Thankfully, I will be getting away several times in the next month. Living near Chicago, it can be tough to find warm weather clothes at this time of year. Heart of Haute has great knit and cotton dresses, separates, and accessories to keep you comfortable on the plane and cool poolside.
I find sleeveless dresses in natural fabrics to be the best in warm weather. The

Travel Zoo Top 20 can be a good place to find deal and ideas, and always check the reviews on
Trip Advisor. In the Caribbean, I personally enjoy Jamaica a lot. If you want a lot of beach time, Negril is my favorite spot.
Coco La Palm and
Idle Awhile are great spots to stay. For a unique country experience in the Blue Mountains, check out
Lime Tree Farm. In Costa Rica, I had a great time staying in the affordable Casita Romantica at
Casa Boaz.
