Heart of Haute and the Pantone Color of the Year for 2014

Pantone began as an American printing company in the 1950s. The developed the Pantone Color Matching System, which is used to standardize colors for designers and producers in nearly every industry.  Referring to this named and numbered index allows exact matches, from digital to print to clothing to makeup. Each year, Pantone selects a "Color of the Year." This choice reflects both current trends and predictions for the future. Fashion, cosmetics, weddings, and interior design are all often influenced by the "Color of the Year" selection. The Pantone Color of the Year for 2014 is Radiant Orchid - a bright purple with fuchsia and pink elements. It has both cool and warm undertones, so it is flattering on almost everyone. It matches well with bright colors like aqua and coral, and neutrals like grey and beige. The brightness and versatility of Radiant Orchid has lead it to be named as the official wedding color of 2014. Are you looking for Radiant Orchid bridesmaid dresses, or just want to stay ahead of the inevitable trend (remember how ubiquitous Emerald was by the end of last year)? Heart of Haute has both solid and patterned dress featuring this modern prominent purple. The rayon/linen Lynette fabric in our Sweetie halter dress has a refined texture and great drape. You can also find in our more modest sleeved Beverly dress. Both have a vintage style full skirt - together they make great choices for those who want to give bridesmaids various options while still matching. Our Sugar Stripe Purple fabric has Radiant Orchid striped with complimentary shades of pink and purple. You can find it in our Regina, Maybeline and Vee Dresses. Both have pockets, waist ties for a perfect fit, and the Vee and Maybeline sun dresses have adjustable shoulder straps. All of these three great retro dresses are under $100. Stay ahead of the trend, and catch the eye of a designer or two! -Allison V
